Blurb: After spending three years in jail and others completely alone, twenty-four-year-old Cole Flint discovers an amazing ability—he can time-travel and teleport. He’s a jumper. So what should the motorcycle-riding, cage-fighting tough guy do? He should protect an innocent eighteen-year-old girl who happens to be in possession of the Staff of Moses. Following the direction of a trio of angels who are determined to shake things up in the Middle East, Cole pairs up with Hannah Carpenter and her pet grizzly while he also tries to change his past and learn the mystery of his birth. Curiously, the King of Jordan knows all about Hannah, and he’s determined to gain possession of the staff. He’ll do anything to possess its power, but is it possible that he’s no more than a pawn, manipulated in time along with Cole and Hannah? Jumper is a mysterious roller coaster of action and a time-traveling adventure that will keep readers guessing right to the very last page.

Perisa smiled. “Listen, Cole. Please sit down. I’ve got some things to tell you, okay?” He nodded and sat down. “What happened was that you time traveled with me. But you can do more than that. You can also teleport....You’re what is often called a jumper.” She paused to gage Cole’s reaction. When he didn’t say anything, she continued. “There are different kinds of time travelers, but what you can do is you can move in time to anywhere you can visualize. You can also jump to any place you can visualize.”

“That’s just awesome,” he verbalized sarcastically. “And I can fly…and make myself invisible.”

“Well, no...you can’t. But you can fight, and you seem to consistently help other people.”

Cole tilted his head and sort of glanced at Perisa out of the corner of his eye. “Uh, yeah, I guess I have multiple superpowers..."

"Cole, you and your abilities can have a great impact on the future."

“So you’re saying you have a plan for me?”

“Yes, I already have a purpose for you, Cole Flint. It involves a girl. She’s been selected to do something great. And she will need your help in less than forty-eight hours. Pick a ride you’re happy with and go off and practice jumping—teleporting. Here’s a picture of the Church of Moses on Mount Nebo so you can visualize it when the time is right. When I let you know, you have to rescue the girl.” She handed him another picture. “Take her there. It’s a forest in the middle of the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. It is there that you’ll protect her and prepare her however you can for the time she’s needed most.”

“Prepare her how?”

“To fight...survive. To know herself. To believe in herself. You have your work cut out for you,” she declared with another easy smile.

“How will I recognize her?”

“Here’s her picture, Cole, but you’ll recognize her because she’ll be the frightened girl with armed soldiers closing in. Get her out of danger immediately.”

Cole studied the picture. She was an attractive but ordinary-looking teenager, petting what looked like a tiny teddy bear, though he guessed it was some sort of dog. Whatever would make her something special wasn’t obvious in the picture, but he figured there must be something or there would be no reason to protect her. “She’ll be safe in the mountains?”

“Maybe…maybe not. There will be people searching for her, and there are spiritual forces at work as well that will likely find her eventually. But you can take her anywhere, and you can take her anytime. There is no one better equipped to protect her.”
