Synopsis:

The hunter becomes the hunted. . . .

West Grayer is done killing. She defeated her Alternate, a twin raised by another family, and proved she’s worthy of a future. She’s ready to move on with her life.

The Board has other plans. They want her to kill one last time, and offer her a deal worth killing for. But when West recognizes her target as a ghost from her past, she realizes she’s in over her head. The Board is lying, and West will have to uncover the truth of the past to secure her future.

How far will the Board go to keep their secrets safe? And how far will West go to save those she loves? With nonstop action and surprising twists, Elsie Chapman’s intoxicating sequel to Dualed reveals everything.

My rating: ★★★★★

You know, when I first read Dualed I didn't think there would be a sequel because the first book wrapped up SO nicely! But when I found out about Divided I was very curious to see what it was all about, seeing as how West had already defeated her Alt. But oh my gods, this book was SO good! I was really pleasantly surprised.

In this sequel, West is proposed a job to work as a Striker one more time. At first she didn't want to do it, but the offer was just too great to pass up. So she takes the job, just a couple of simple Striker jobs, until things take a a turn for the worst... well, actually there are several twists. That's one of the things I loved about this book: all the unexpected twists and turns! I just wish I would've started it earlier!

Poor West, everything that could go wrong with her did! But the thing about West is that she is pretty badass with her fighting skills and she is smart, I had faith she would get out of this horrid situation one way or another... with the help of Chord! :D That's right, unlike the last book where West did not want Chord's help whatsoever, she actually did not reject his help in this one! That was awesome because I was hoping to see more of Chord... love him!

There was just so much awesome in this book! Tons of action, a splash of romance, evil people you want to strangle, and amazing twists and turns you will not see coming! I love the concept of this dystopian story, although it didn't make much sense to me in the first book. I mean, why Alts? But we actually get a lot of questions answered and we find out some shocking secrets about this society. It was really a great read! And I wonder, because even more question were raised in this book, will there be another book in this series? 'Cause I totally would not mind ;)

Have you read this book? If so, what did you think about it? If not, what do you think? Does it sound like something you might want to read? Leave me a link to your review or comment below! :)
